Grooms all for chic makeovers

Wedding season is around the corner. Many would-be brides have already finalised their sittings with the best salons and make-up artists in the city for pre-bridal pampering and bridal make-up. After all, on the wedding day, the bride needs to be the cynosure of everyone’s eyes! But then, how about the grooms? Even they need to look suave on the D-day.
Star Salon owner, Aashmeen Munjaal says “We always think that men are not in for makeovers, but they are more game. They want to look very stunning on their wedding day.”
They go in for a variety of treatments depending on needs and interest like hairfall rescue, anti-tanning facials, waxing (specifically chest hair), threading, foot spa and pedicure and even inch loss around the tummy.
Ranging from a week to a month, the treatments can range anywhere between `6,000 to `35,000.
Tatha, the wellness and herbal skin care brand offers mobile spa service to men and women at their doorstep. According to Divita Kanoria,chief wellness officer, The Vedic Collection at Tatha says, “Earlier brides only would take care of there skin and body, but now, we get equally more male customers.”
Agreeing, Raveela Sharma, general manager, Vedic Spa Mantra says, “Manicured hands with buffed nails, clipped toe nails, a smart hair cut, a relaxed de-stressed body and a clean face is something many would-be grooms desire.
Nikhil Jain, an engineer with Siemens, who is set to get married in January next year, has is already booked a pre-wedding grooming session “I got to know about pre-wedding grooming session for men from my fiancée. Weddings are once in a lifetime affair. We all want to look our best,” he says.
