‘Family is the guiding force in our success’
While battling through Class 12 and its seemingly endless syllabus, I learned the most important lesson of my life. I learned the importance of family in my life, particularly parents. When all my friends were busy rattofying the chapters, it was my parents who stepped forward to support and guide me.
I remember when my Chemistry Practicals during the Board exams were preponed, it was my mom who gave me the strength to tackle the situation. She stood by me and took care of everything as I prepared for it. When I cried inconsolably and my hands trembled in fear, it was my mom who calmed me down. She was so encouraging that it didn’t take much time and I gained my confidence back. I passed with flying colours.
Having fun with friends, we often tend to forget about our parents. At many points, we even tend to ignore and disrespect them. We pick up arguments, shout and disregard them. But they take a lot of pain and effort just to make us good human beings.
In this so called modern world, I think that as soon as we turn 18, we feel that it’s our right to be rebellious. We must respect our parents and not underestimate their ideologies. Their judgement and advice will only help us win.
