F1 tickets make great Diwali gifts
Youngsters in the capital are gearing up for some heart-pumping fun with the second edition of the Formula One Grand Prix, which is just a few weeks away. The joy has doubled for them as many are getting F1 tickets as Diwali gifts from their offices.
“There’s a buzz in my office that since the F1 is falling just before Diwali, the bosses are planning to give us F1 tickets as Diwali bonus. It’s going to be real fun,” says Vaibhav Vishal, an architect working with a design house.
It’s not just Vaibhav’s office that’s planning to gift F1 tickets to their employees, the ticketing partners have got many enquiries for bulk bookings — some want to give them to their employees, while some are looking at it as an option for corporate gifting.
Shaikh Junaid, head, special operations, bookmyshow.com, the official partner for ticket booking, says that in the last few days, the number of bulk booking has increased tremendously. “Most of the requests came from young entrepreneurs. Also, most bookings have been done for the Main Grand Stand and Platinum enclosures. These are the most preferred spots not just because they have luxury services on offer, but also because all the action can be seen best from here,” says Junaid.
TUI India, the authorised distributor of Paddock Club, the luxury area for VIPs and sponsors for 2012 Formula One, have designed some offers keeping last year’s response in mind. “We are getting a good response from the retail and corporate market. So, we have created special packages for them,” says Shashank Shekhar Mishra of TUI India Sports.
Jaypee Sports International Limited (JSIL), organisers, F1 have also introduced special deals for final day.
“We are announcing one-day passes with special prices so that fans will enjoy the high-paced excitement,” says Sameer Gaur, CEO, JPSI.
