Electro touch to music
Singer Manasi Scott, who discovered her penchant for music at the age of eight, is ready to bring out another single. “Music came naturally to me and while I did a lot of other things such as being a compere for events and a host for television shows, the tunes never stopped. Music began when I was eight years old, singing for a rock band called Dark Water Fixation, which was offered a contract with a global record label,”she says.
Apart from being a talented singer, Manasi has also pursued a post-graduation degree in film and television production hosted shows on Sony, Pix and AXN. She has compered Wisden Cricket Awards – Live on Star Sports too. She is planning to take a creative step in her musical career with High. “It has soulful lyrics and an appealing use of drums and bass,” says Scott.
Scott believes that the best way to bring out the best in music is through technology. “Though that does not include correcting errors in singing, rectifying or altering the pitch. I will sing a song as many times as it needs to be sung, to get the pitch right. I once sung 45 times for an album because my recording engineer wasn’t satisfied,” she said earlier in an interview.
