Controversies add spice to TV
Be it for the controversies they create or the glamour they exude, there’s no denying the fact that contestants in the Bigg Boss house definitely know how to attract interest and raise TRPs. And it’s that time of the year when viewers wait to see whose life they will get to scrutinise for the next few months. Bringing together Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as hosts will help the show’s cause, and regarding contestants, fans definitely want some controversial faces for their daily dose of entertainment.
“I’d love to see either Yuvraj Singh or Kim Sharma on the show. There has been much news about their break-up and Yuvraj also spoke about his heartbreak. So it’ll be fun to have him on the show or his ex. Apart from that bringing someone as blunt as Sonam Kapoor should be fun too. She is known for the controversial statements she makes, so it’ll be fun to have her on this one,” says DU student Monica.
For Rohit Chawla, a student from Hansraj College, an apt choice would be to bring someone like Rakhi Sawant back. Well, if masala is the need of the hour, why don’t many want to see Dolly Bindra back? “Dolly was too loud and sometimes it was difficult to bear her on the show. Rakhi is no less but a little more fun to listen to. Dolly picked up fights and Sambhavna Seth was also a great entertainer,” he quips.
While the audience suggests spicy names for the show, there are some ex-contestants who would love to be a part of the show again. One such participant is Sambhavana Seth. “I’ve heard they’re calling back ex contestants, so let’s hope I am a part of the show again,” she says. “After all Bigg Boss has made me who I am today,” she adds.
Youngsters also feel that bullies like Raghu Ram and judges from some of the reality shows should be included. “I want to see how Raghu behaves in such a situation. He bullies every contestant on Roadies, let’s see if he is able to keep his cool on a show like this? Apart from that, Ranvijay would be an eye candy to watch. They should not bring boring people who are there just for the sake of their name-value,” says Manisha Yadav, a PR consultant.
