Chelsea’s big day

Chelsea Clinton is getting married today and to make this affair a memorable one her parents Former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have shelled out $3 million. Before we give you all the intimate details on the wedding, here’s some info on the groom. His name is Marc Mezvinsky. Is 32 years old and also from a political family. He is the son of former Iowa congressman Edward Mezvinsky. Marc’s family have their own big scandal too. His dad was jailed for six years after admitting to 31 counts of fraud.
Now that you know all the juicy details about the groom, take a look at what the guests are going to be treated to at the wedding which is being held at Astor Courts, the 50-acre former estate 90 miles north of New York City. President Obama offered the couple the White House, but they declined.

Wedding Cake
Costs a whopping £7,000 is being done by designer Ron Ben Israel, who designed the cake for the gay wedding in the Sex and the City sequel.

Dress
It’s being speculated that the dress is either designed by Vera Wang or Oscar De La Renta and costs between £16,000 to £20,000.

Loos
Guests are going to be treated to portable, porcelain loos seated in air conditioned cabins with heated seats and piped classical music. These loos cost £20,000.

Food
Since Chelsea is a vegan, the menu will feature lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. But for the non-vegetarians there is grass-fed, organic beef also on the menu. Wine is from the aptly named Clinton Corners. Catering has been given to three teams. Total cost £1,000 per head.

Flowers
Chelsea’s bouquet is made up of cascading lilies and orchids. The theme will continue through to the reception. Total cost £320,000.

Security
It’s a no fly zone and loads of road blocks will be put into place for safety and privacy. Total cost £160,000.

Pre-nup
If the groom cheats like daddy, he has to pay Chelsea £8 million.

Guest List
Almost 400 people have been invited. Al Gore and Obama aren’t invited as the bride wants to invite people whom she has a personal connect with. Oprah, Steven Spielberg, Ted Turner, Barbara Streisand are invited,” he shares.
