‘Catwoman’ Ileana gives away pets

Actress Ileana is an inveterate cat lover, she had 12 strutting around her house in Goa, until recently, when she gave away half of them to friends as she was travelling continuously in 2012. The resultant neglect had had some of them fall ill while she was away; the pets were missing her.
Pets can be very calming around the house and Ileana’s felines had just this effect on her. She used to ‘chill out’ with the furry creatures when not caught up in a shooting schedule, making daily calls when out of town to ensure that they were fine. When she returns from abroad, it’s usually with gifts for her lovely cats. The pets, she says, are her “stress busters” after a day of ‘hard work’.
Now, however, she has shared the pets with her friends for the sake of their own well-being. “She couldn’t see them suffering,” says a source.
