The versatility of stripes has long been underrated but not this season. With geometric print and contrast pieces being current must-haves, stripes are a perfect way to embrace the trend for some casual glam.
Vertical and horizontal stripes, squares and plaid suit a variety of body types. Depending on their direction and intensity, stripes and complex geometric patterns will have the best results this season.
To modernise this popular style, use pops of fun colours to bring in the elements of colour blocking and asymmetrical hemlines into your wardrobe.
Girls can take inspiration from the ramps and complete the look with tousled hair and high heels. To add feminine finesse to your work wear wardrobe, pair striped T-shirts with a tailored jacket.
Stripes can also benefit from the addition of a textured piece, such as wet-look leggings or a patent leather bag to lift the look into the modern day. Incorporate a lot of straight diagonals that create visual interest and bring an interesting variation to the well established trend.
