Bands prepare for motor mania

Music is once again ready to strum its string with speed. After Indian Ocean rocked at the recent Red Bull Speed Street at Rajpath, city’s popular bands including Them Clones, Advaita, and Faridkot, Indigo Children, Mob Marley, and Rishi inc are geared up to pump the energy at the upcoming Motor Match

happening from October 28 to November 1 at the Greater Noida Expo Centre.
The auto show debuts on the same weekend as the Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix, enabling visitors to enjoy both at the same time. It’s a one-of-its-kind comparative motor show, which will give auto-lovers a chance to witness the latest technology and an opportunity to test, select and buy their dream car. The auto show has been developed specifically for BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China).
With music becoming a popular trend at sports events, band members share their excitement about the rock acts. Sanchal Malhar, lead singer, Indigo Children, says, “We will be playing originals and also covers by ‘The Bird’ and ‘Black Sabbath’. I’m really excited about the performance. Such events give local bands a platform.”
Playing their popular tracks Durga or Rasiya, Anindo Bose, keyboard player, Advaita shares it will be great opportunity to playing for new group of audiences. “There will be mostly motor enthusiasts and car freaks and playing for them would be a new experience. To give them a perfect musical treat we plan to belt out tracks with a sense of speed, excitement and rush.”
Seconds Akshay Raheja, keyboardist, Faridkot, “I’m really excited to meet and play for international guests, expats and F1 racers. We have particularly planned to play songs like Khel Khel main and title track Faridkot, which has a sporty and energetic theme. I’m also a car lover and equally excited about it. F1 and then Motor Match, two simultaneous sports event is a is surely a win-win situation for the motor freaks.”
