Baadshah of love
With Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Shah Rukh Khan will once again play the quintessential romantic hero, an image he had shed for his last two big screen outings. He jests with us about love, romancing Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma and his iconic status.
“Love has to be deeply embedded in you. In the movies, it can be over the top. But in real life, love resides in the smaller gestures like the way you hold hands or smile at each other.”
About working with heroines half his, SRK jokes, “Well, they have less wrinkles! Both Katrina and Anushka have a different approach and it reflects in the way they do their scenes. I don’t know if age does cause a problem, but I do every film with the same energy and enthusiasm. And all said and done, how old do I look? You’re right, I’m 25 and Katrina is 23.”
On being called a global icon, he humbly says, “When I am praised, I read all the bad things that are written about me online, and balance it out.”
Not divulging much about his upcoming flick, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, SRK says, “ I haven’t done romance of this caliber before. I like guns and girls but romance is good enough too. There are no guns in the film, only girls!”
Refuting rumours that singer, Rabbi’s vocals for Challa song, does not suit him, “Singers have unique potentials. The voice lent to me for the first time in JTHJ suits me to a tee,” he concludes.
