Accessorise work-wise
Through the ages, women have used jewellery as a way to express their individuality, accentuate their natural charm and add that spark to their aura. But when it comes to officewear, what should a woman do to match her jewellery to a largely formal and serious environment? The answer is not very complicated, provided we keep a few things in mind.
While dressing up for your office make sure your jewellery matches the tone of your workplace. A semi-formal set-up gives you greater flexibility in choosing your jewellery. You can choose chunky jewellery to layered styles. But a strictly formal workplace means that jewellery size and quantity should both be kept to a minimum.
If you work with delicate fabrics, then jewellery with sharp edges and too many prongs might not be suitable for you. Smooth pearls or corals are a good choice for such occasions. Women with desk jobs should avoid soft gemstones like pearls, corals and emeralds. It is only a matter of time before a hard impact cracks or dents them.
If you need to draw attention to yourself and stand out, then bright colours are the best option for you. Go for sparkling diamonds, pink sapphires, green peridots. However, if your workplace requires you to wear softer and more sombre colours, you can go for soft white/ golden/chocolate/grey pearls. Pacific corals, in shades of light pink, peach and white, or earthy smoky quartz or the pale blue aquamarine are also good options.
