Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is one courageous woman. To first undergo a twin mastectomy and then go public with the news requires oodles of confidence. Given the demands of her profession, it was certainly not an easy decision for her. But she came forward to openly discuss her case with the world so that women with similar conditions, who are at risk of developing breast cancer, can take preventive steps like she did. After the surgery, Jolie’s chances of developing breast cancer have been reduced to under five per cent. The star has certainly set an example.
