Maoists now ‘fashionable’: Bengal’s Gov
West Bengal governor M.K. Narayanan on Friday expressed deep concern on the support Maoists were getting from civil society. “Maoism is becoming a fashionable trend in different states, including West Bengal, and students in universities are getting attracted,” he said. He was addressing a security seminar organised by CII.
Mr Narayanan, a former national security adviser with extensive knowledge of the Maoist menace, visited two Maoist hotbeds — Lalgarh and Jhalda — just two days ago.
