Maoist arms seized from Khejuri house
The state CID has recovered arms from a house at Khejuri stockpiled by the Maoists, that in turn were used for the Nandigram movement. Three six mm guns, 15 gelatin sticks and some detonators have been recovered from the house.
After interrogating the five Maoists — Madhusudan Mandal alias Narayan, Sachin Ghoshal, Siddhartha Mandal, Rajesh Mandal and Sanjay Mandal — the police had come to know that Siddhartha had rented a house from a school teacher at Vidyapith village in Khejuri. “The teacher had no idea that he was renting the house to Maoists. The house was used to stock arms and was often frequented by top Maoists including Narayan, Telugu Dipak, Sachi Ghoshal to chalk out plans regarding the Nandigram movement,” revealed a senior CID officer on condition of anonymity. The police has also found that some Maoists who were active in the city fringes had been extorting college students.
