Former CPM leader Sindhu Joy, known for her fiery speeches, is ready to take centre stage in the avatar of a religious preacher. Sindhu has announced her decision through her Facebook status update.
Sindhu hailed preaching while updating her status, “I believe preaching is not a platform to show speaking skills… instead it should come from the inner mind.” Sindhu, after deserting CPM, had turned to the Congress and finally taken the divine path.
“Many people told me to preach, but I never thought it was the right time because everything has its time. I am sure it will happen (to me) soon,” she posted.
Sindhu, who is the chairperson of the Kerala State Youth Commission, routinely updates her Facebook page and twitter handle with religious contents. On Tuesday, she celebrated the Feast Day of St Thomas by uploading a picture of the saint.
A devotional song sung by Sindhu during the 2009 assembly elections had kicked up a row, as at that time she was a Left candidate against union Minister K.V. Thomas.
Sindhu also took the social media platform to remember a tragic incident, an accident, that happened in her life.
“On last July 2, I was admitted to the ICU at the Medical College Surgical department. Today I went to the Lourde church.
I led the prayers for almost an hour. For the last seven years, I went through many changes. Nothing is in our hands,” she posted on Monday.
