Two held for taking snaps of women

Passengers on the Chennai Mail got hold of two persons for taking pictures of a woman passenger on Wednesday evening and handed them over to the railway police at Ernakulam Town station.

According to police, the duo, Shivaraman (27) of Munnar and Murugeshan (30) of Thenkashi, got into the train from Kollam and had consumed liquor on the train.

They then started creating nuisance and Shivaraman later took photographs on his mobile phone of a woman passenger. Others in the train intervened, roughed them up and tied their hands and bound them to the seat.

When the train reached Ernakulam, the two were handed over to the railway police who in turn handed over their custody to Ernakulam South police. A case has been registered against them.
