Swathi Krishna out of hospital
“I have now words to express my gratitude to all those who prayed for me. I am indebted to the doctors, nurses and other staff of the hospital and all those who helped me,” said a beaming Swathi Krishna, who was discharged from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday, after the liver transplant surgery.
The 17-year-old plus-two student at M.K.M Higher Secondary School, Piravom, looked quite healthy and happy.
Though her condition is stable, she has to undergo regular medical checkups every week. Hence, her father Krishnankutty has taken a house on rent near the hospital.
“This is truly my rebirth. The doctors have advised me to take complete rest for the next three months and I need to be extra careful as there are high chances of infection. I will continue my studies and will certainly pen more poems. I also long to meet Mata Amrithanandamayi soon,” she said.
