SmartCity-KSEB rift will be settled soon, says collector
District collector P.I. Shei-kh Pareeth on Monday said that the rift between the SmartCity authorities and the Kerala State Electricity Board over erecting towers and pulling a transmission line over the project area would be settled this week itself.
The collector, along with representatives of Smart-City and KSEB, inspected the land over which the two parties have locked horns.
The state government has asked the collector to use his magisterial powers to resolve the issue between the two parties.
He had convened a meeting a few ago to listen to the versions of both the warring groups. On Monday, KSEB deputy chief engineer P.Jayakumari, executive engineer V. Chandras-ekharan, assistant executive engineer Biju Oomm-en, SmartCity project engineer T.L. Paul and SmartCi-ty pavilion manager Pree-tha Mathew accompanied the collector for site inspection.
The project has been cau-ght in a row with the KSEB for a quite a while.
