Sightseeing boat service launched
The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation and the Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation have jointly launched a ‘sightseeing’ boat service connecting various tourist destinations and heritage centres of the district.
KSINC managing director Tom Jose flagged off the service at Ernakulam boat jetty on Saturday. KSINC’s 50-seater Lake Palace boat is being used for the service. The new boat will have two services a day at 9.30 am and 2.30 pm.
The Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue and St Francis Church have been included in the itinerary and the tickets are priced at Rs 200 per passenger. Passengers can collect the tickets from the KTDC’s reception centre.
KSINC company secretary Raju, KTDC regional manager P.N. Manoj Kumar, central reservation manager G. Chandrababu and information officer K.S. Shine also attended the function.
