Shoji killed by someone familiar: Cops
The police team probing the murder of Shoji, 35, wife of Shaji, from Kannadippara, in Kothamangalam, suspects that someone who was close to her could have committed the crime.
She was found dead in a pool of blood in the dining room of her house.
The post-mortem done at Alappuzha Medical College on Thursday, found a deep gash on the chest cavity which was apparently caused by a sharp knife and this could have been the reason for the death.
The cops have begun quizzing close relatives, neighbours and friends of Shoji. The police believes that more than one person could be involved in the murder.
Nobody around the house, including those who were at Shoji’s Ayurveda shop, had heard a scream or cry, which points to the fact that it could not have been committed without the help of a second person.
The cops also suspect the involvement of quotation gangs. The killer took 30 sovereigns of gold from her house.
