Revised Air India flight schedule affects NRKs
The departure of the Air India Express flight IX 412 from Sharjah in the revised winter schedule to around 9 am local time, to arrive at 2.05 pm at Cochin International Airport has come as an inconvenience to a section of NRKs working there.
They say that they could board the same flight at around 3 pm without upsetting their work to land at around 6.25 pm, whereas now they are forced to take a day’s leave just because of the revised schedule.
The rescheduling of the two daily Air India and Air India Express flights leaving Kochi airport from evening, to morning, has also been cited as an inconvenience by another section which complains that this revised timing leaves the airport without any flights of the national carrier to Sharjah in the evenings.
The departure from Sharjah of the AI 934 Air India daily flight in the winter schedule to around 4 pm from the earlier 2 am too has also come as an inconvenience to another section of passengers which used to board the flight after work and reach Kochi by 5.30 am.
However, an Air India official said that the new departure of AIE flight from Kochi at 5.15 am is of great convenience to office-goers as they can go to work straightaway after landing at Sharjah.
