Kerala RTO seizes school buses for flouting rules
The enforcement team of the Regional Transport Office here seized four school buses, three school vans and six autorickshaws on Wednesday for flouting traffic rules.
Officials said the buses had inexperienced drivers while the other vehicles were overcrowded, violating norms.
The authorities also seized four autorickshaws plying in the city with drivers having no licence and four others without city permit. Some of vehicle owners had not renewed their road tax.
The enforcement team collected Rs 63,000 as fine on Wednesday, according to the regional transport officer, T.J. Thomas, who had issued a special order to the enforcement team to initiate action.
