Hunt still on for sex case main accused
The Paravoor police probing the case in which a 22-year-old girl was trapped and molested by a blackmailing gang, is still hunting for the main accused, Rojo, who has been absconding since the incident.
Despite mounting a strict vigil at the locations where Rojo is likely to travel, the accused is still evading the police net.
A police team had recently gone to Bengaluru after it received a tip-off, but the trip was in vain as the cops did not get any clues about his whereabouts.
The police had earlier gone to Thiruvananthapuram, but that operation was also in vain. The police has been receiving several reports about his presence in different locations after a lookout notice was issued.
Reports say the absconding youngster has shaved off his moustache and hair in a bid to evade the police radar.
Meanwhile, the police has also sought the help of the cyber police in tracking the mobile call history of the three people, who are already behind bars. The police is also in search of Sajith, another accused in the incident.
According to the police, the girl, a nurse by profession, was tricked by Sibin who promised to marry her. It was Sibin who molested the girl first and filmed it.
He later blackmailed the girl with the video and made off with Rs 25,000 and 15 sovereigns of gold. Later, the three others also molested her after blackmailing her.
