Ex-watchman held for youth’s murder

The Ernakulam South police on Monday arrested a man on the charge of murdering a youngster, a week ago. The arrested was identified as Baby, 60, of Kadappara near Malayattoor.

Sheron, 33, of Palluruthy, was found in a pool of blood in front of a shop in Pallimukku. He had a deep wound on the back of his head. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The police said the accused had been hiding in Guruvayoor and Chottanikkara after the incident. The two who were together on that day, had a fight later.

Baby then attacked Sheron in a fit of anger. The accused was a security employee at a small temple near Pallimukku.
