ACV, ESPN-STAR stand-off resolved
Sports buffs in the state can smile as Asianet Cable Vision (ACV) has settled its three-year stand-off with ESPN-Star and agreed to beam sports channels.
This would mean people here can view the ongoing India-New Zealand test series, the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga football matches and the upcoming World Cup 20-20.
The two sides arrived at a consensus during discussions held on Sunday, and ACV aired the sports channels by noon. So, viewers here could see India taking the U19 World Cup and also the first test win.
An ESPN-Star spokes-person confirmed the news and added that the services for Asianet had been activated.
“The issues have been settled and we are happy that everything ended on a positive note,” said Binu George, executive vice-president (cable services).
