Watery justice

This incident happened when I had just started high school. I was a target for merciless teasing by the boys in my class — all except one. This boy, Abu, and I became very good friends and it was he who helped me finally exact vengeance on my “persecutors”.

One day, Abu brought a bottle of some laxative to school. We waited until the lunch bell rang and the class had emptied out. Then we took the water bottle of the boy who was the ringleader in all the teasing that went on and carefully emptied some of the laxative into it.
We waited with bated breath while he sipped from his bottle after he returned to class. For a little while nothing happened and we were most disappointed. But then a twitch here, and a twitch there, and suddenly, he was running out of the classroom!
He returned after an age, and when the teacher asked him where he had been, he meekly replied that he had a headache. Abu and I could barely contain our laughter. But afterwards we decided it was too risky a prank to ever try again. Still, that doesn’t stop us from laughing whenever we think about that day.
