They’re back!

Dig it: 90210
He has Zac Efron’s body and Robert Downey Jr’s soul”. Ring a bell? This particular line had loyal 90210 fans howling in despair over Laura’s choice of some nutty guy called Dex (who the hell was he anyway?) over beloved Liam. I totally went ‘Are you in your right mind, girl?’ But we also had something to rejoice over — Liam and Annie coming together!

If the episode Holiday Madness gave us Lannie (Liam-Annie fans would know this!) as well as Silver and Navid elsewhere, it also gave us gay Teddy battling with his changed feelings and a badly executed kissing scene between him and his love interest, Ian. (Ditch this!) The episode also signalled the break of the show for it’s mid-season off time.
However, loyal viewers of the show have reason to rejoice, as 90210 is back again with a whole lot more of drama, scandals, make-ups and break-ups, but like always, set against the backdrop of sunny Beverly Hills. And my, the concept of ‘high on drama’ was true to the core for comeback episode — Liars, where we saw Naomi and Silver being taken hostage by an obsessive Mr Cannon, Adrianna with her trademark compulsive behaviour, the Liam-Annie-Charlie love triangle (I totally dig it!) and the entry of Emily, cousin to the Wilsons.
In the coming episodes, we can see Debbie (Dixon and Annie’s mom) and Ryan, the kids’ English teacher on a romantic dinner date, Ivy’s post-accident issues and Teddy coming out of the closet (THAT should be interesting!). Not to forget Ade and her scheming plans to get back into the limelight with an exclusive tabloid story using the baby she gave up for adoption two years ago. (Remember season one?)
So, stay tuned and enjoy. The lucky few to call 90210 home are back!

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
