Television gets thrilling
Dig it: Minute To Win It
Sit back in your seats, fasten your seat belts, as the thrill is about to begin. The tension is about to set in. As Guy Fieri, an American television personality and chef takes you through the rush of the participants trying to meet their challenges and earn a quick buck. Minute To Win It was aired first time in America in March 2010 and soon started on AXN in India.
The contestant is first presented with a blue print and has to complete a task successfully within sixty seconds to win $1000. The tasks get progressively more difficult as the game goes on. The contestants have three lives and if they lose these, they take back the amount they made in the last safe zone.
The tasks given to the contestants are challenging and fun. For example, they have to slide a ball with a stick in one hand from one end of the floor to the other, without moving an inch in front or behind. In another such task, a contestant slithered like a snake across the floor with both hands and legs tied. The tasks use basic household items while the competitors give it their best to complete all ten tasks to earn their final $ 1million.
This show in its Indian avatar is to begin on AXN with Gaurav Kapoor as its host. A winning mix of simple and innovative games, a once in a lifetime chance to win a fortune, the show is intensely nerve wracking. Contestants take on ten gruelling challenges to win the estimated ` 1 crore. It will be quite exciting to see if the Indian version is as good as or better than the American one.
