In praise of family bonds
Most teens consider friends their first priority. But for me, it’s undoubtedly my family. They are the most important people in my life. I’m lucky to have the most generous mother, the most controlling yet loving father and a perfect elder sister. Some of my friends are ridiculously rude to their parents over the phone when all they want to
know is when their kids would be getting back. I could never do anything like that regardless of my mood swings. I have also noticed that most teenagers go through a lot of mental stress owing to their overly demanding parents who deprive them of their capacity to make decisions and impose their own dreams onto their kids. I am blessed with parents who have guided and reprimanded me, whenever required, letting me take my own decisions and also learn from my mistakes.
My sister is my best friend. I remember getting into a fight with my friends when I was nine-years-old and my sister came and blew them up. It was then that I realised that you will need someone to pull you up and that’s what we all have family for.
I gleefully confess that I am a pampered child and I would never have it any other way. When we love and support our families we are forever loved and supported in return.
