Melange of events at Oasis, BITS

Raw energy, Undiluted madness, Attitude, Passion, Enthusiasm, Oasis, the cultural festival of BITS, Pilani packs all this and more into four days of non-stop ‘Fungama’. The entire cultural extravaganza is run by the students of BITS — from contacting companies for sponsorship and association to managing and organising events. Over 7,000 students from all across the country make their presence felt at Oasis.

The events are a huge hit and we have listed some of them.

Rocktaves: A semi-pro rock concert that has served as a launch pad to bands such as Parikrama, Indian Ocean and Euphoria.
Prof Show: The likes of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Rainbow Bridge, KK, Euphoria and Lounge Piranha, Lucky Ali and Them Clones have performed to huge audiences in the past.

Fash P: A popular event that oozes attitude and oomph. Dazzling lights, classy designs and an electric ambience makes Fash P an event in demand by both the students and the sponsors.
To celebrate 40 years since its inception, Oasis 2010 will see an ‘Alumni Night’ and an ‘Ethnic Zone’. Mehendi, pottery and folk music will provide a mix of past traditions and modern nuances. This year the fest promises to be much bigger and better. Oasis 2010 will be held from the 22nd to the 26th of October.
