Fun times ahead!
Schoolchildren are breathing a sigh of relief. The last exam is finally over. That means, no more burning the midnight oil. No more hair pulling and swotting till the head aches in a bid to score those marks.
The summer vacations are finally here. The children are excited — it is the time for staying up late, catching up with friends and planning fun activities.
For class X student, Shiny Paul it’s time to blow the dust off her travel bags. “I will be going on a 20-day vacation to Goa and Kerala with my family. I am so excited about meeting my cousins and my grandparents. Plus, Goa is going to be super-duper fun.”
Syeda Arshiya, 16, Nasr school says, “Since I’m spending my vacation at home — and this may sound weird — I’m actually planning on learning to do stunts using a skipping rope. I also want to try learning Spanish and/or French through YouTube. That way, I can spend my holidays productively, learning something that can come in handy in the future.”
Sixteen-year-old Adeena Ali has a long but fun to-do list for the holidays.
“It is so easy to say, ‘I have nothing to do!’ during summer holidays, but not anymore!” says the excited teenager.
