Bite those fingers off!

Dig it: Nigella Bites
Nigella Bites is an epitome of paradise for one who shows interest in culinary art. A show hosted by British food writer and journalist, Nigella Lucy Lawson, opens your horizon to a whole, new range of recipes.

Though Lawson claims a successful career in cooking, she is not a trained chef. She has her own charm when it comes to dealing with food. With her flirtatious dialogue and gestures, voluptuous figure and heavy British accent, she steals many aspiring chefs’ hearts. She is out there to make those dishes that no chef would be seen making. No doubt, these are quick and easy meals for every occasion, but everybody eating it thinks twice before they devour Nigella’s delicacies.
The consumption is given a second thought only ‘cos Elvis-style fried peanut butter and jam sandwich, chocolate lime cheesecake, ham baked in cola are dishes one seldom sees at restaurants on a daily basis.
The casualness of the show adds to the homeliness that Lawson portrays. She does her grocery shopping from a grocery store and cooks in the kitchen at her home. The camera tracks her from start to finish of the process. Her intimate approach to cooking sets her apart from other meticulous, rigid chefs.
Not only are you bound to fall in love with the appetising dishes Nigella makes but also with this curvy British belle. Nigella made it to every American woman’s kitchen not only through her experimenting, but also because they invested in her cookbook, also titled Nigella Bites. A show that features everyday on TLC is a must watch at least once for every adventure-driven foodie.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
