‘We would cook Maggi on a stove’
I believe that college days are the most carefree times in one’s life. Lots of friends, fun and laughter, that’s what my college days were all about.
I was raised in Mumbai, so I did my initial studies there. I studied Psychology at St. Stephen’s, and after studying there for three years, I realised that I wanted to do something in creative arts.
So, I joined the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, to pursue a degree in ceramics. This was the first time I stayed in a hostel. I made friends from each part of the country.
Today, I think that the late nights we used to enjoy, taught us to be more responsible in life. And after we returned to the room, Maggi was our favourite dish. We used to have a stove on which we used to cook. I would go home on the weekend, since it wasn’t too far. The stories of those days still fill me with joy. While I was already getting modelling offers during college, I took up a few assignments. I also got to go to Paris to model for Pierre Cardin. It was an exciting and enriching time in my life.
