‘My Sanskrit teacher felt I won’t pass’
I did my graduation in psychology from Nizam College in Hyderabad. It was a three year course and those years were the best days of my life. I would often bunk classes and hang out with friends. I remember I used to be very particular about my dresses, so I was considered the most stylish in my group.
Since I was quite bindaas, I enjoyed a lot of male attention. In those times, my best friend and my boyfriend were like my bodyguards and they protected me from the pile ons. We would often sit at the food joints near the lake and enjoy the mood and scenery.
As far as studies were concerned, I was quite serious the first two years, but in the last year I started bunking classes. My teachers wondered how I managed to top my exams, but I had a very sharp memory so that helped me each time.
I took Sanskrit as my second language in college and attended just two classes the entire year. One of my teachers even failed to recognise me when I went to attend the class and said, “I can give it in writing that you won’t pass your exams,” but I proved her wrong.
