Titanic’s trip via computer
Atlanta, Dec. 27: Ever since it sank in April 15, 1912, the Titanic has been a source of fascination.
The ship’s remains have been explored in countless missions. Now, anyone curious can go to www.expeditiontitanic.com for their own exploration at 3,280 metres below sea level. Along with information and history, the site contains pictures and video.
There’s also a lot of information about the ships used to dive down to the Titanic. Life on board the ill-fated liner and the fate of the passengers is also covered.
Movie buffs might run into a contradiction or two with the movie. For example, the famous scene with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on the bow of the ship could never have happened in reality as that part of the ship was off-limits to Titanic passengers.
