Ten dead in Kabul hotel attack: police chief
Ten people, all Afghan civilians, were killed in a Taliban attack on a leading hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul, police said Wednesday.
"Unfortunately as a result of this terrorist attack, 10 of our countrymen, all of them civilians, lost their lives," said Kabul police chief Ayub Salangi.
"Three policemen have been injured".
He said that many of those killed were people who worked in the hotel.
The last suicide attacker had blown himself up hours after the assault was declared over, he added.
