Salman: Next surgery in secret
Bollywood star Salman Khan, who is overjoyed with the success of his latest film, Bodyguard, is still recuperating from surgery in the United States for neuropathic disorder.
The surgery, Salman said at a press conference in a central London hotel, was successful, but he is likely to need another operation. “I might have to go do another one in three to four months, but this time nobody’s going to know that I’ve gone there and come back,” he said.
Explaining that he suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a disorder that causes a stabbing or electric-shock-like pain in parts of the face, Salman said: “Actually it is called trigeminal neuralgia, joki meri samajh mein bhi aata nahin hai.”
“I was told the disorder is like a romantic affair between my nerves and my veins. They got so close together that they were too close for comfort. They’re having a good time and they’re giving me electric shocks in my brain,” he added. The surgery in the US was essentially to separate the two, Salman said.
