Plot behind rape claim: Assange

London, Dec. 12: There are hidden agendas in the rape claims made against the Wikileaks founder, Mr Julian Assange, by two women in Stockholm, his lawyer has said.

Mr Bjrn Hurtig, who is representing Mr Assange in Sweden, said he has seen secret police documents that reveal Mr Assange is innocent of rape claims, Daily Mail reported on Sunday.

Mr Hurtig said, “The papers that are part of the official Swedish investigation show both women had hidden agendas and lied about being coerced into having sex with Mr Assange.”

The Wikileaks founder is being held in a London jail.

“From what I have read, it is clear that the women are lying and that they had an agenda. It was, I believe, more about jealousy and disappointment on their part. I can prove that at least one of them had very big expectations for something to happen with Assange,” Mr Hurtig said.
