Playboy mansion Legionnaires outbreak traced to hot tub
Health officials have traced the cause of outbreak of Legionnaires disease at the Playboy mansion to a hot tub on the estate.
They found out the cause of the outbreak that left more than 70 people ill after a two-month investigation, reports the Telegraph.
More than 120 people came down with symptoms of fever and vomiting after attending a fund-raising party at the fabled Playboy mansion in Los Angeles in February.
The hot tub is frequently used by the models, who live with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his celebrity guests.
The people who fell ill were at the mansion to mark the end of the three-day DOMAINFest Global Conference on Internet business.
About 700 people from 30 countries attended the conference with 69 falling ill on the same day.
Officials contacted 439 people and found that up to 200 of them had a fever.
