Plane evacuated in Chicago airport

Passengers on a plane at Chicago's O'Hare international airport were evacuated after fire broke out in the plane's landing gear.

There were 188 passengers and 11 crew members on board the United Airlines Flight 949 from London's Heathrow airport, airlines spokesman Mike Trevino was quoted as saying on Wednesday by the Herald Sun.

Several people who exited the plane on emergency slides were being treated for minor injuries, Chicago fire department spokesman Larry Langford said.
