Pakistan Prez will attend SCO Summit
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Tashkent to participate in the 10th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), on June 10-11, foreign office said on Wednesday.
The SCO is a Regional Organisation bringing tog-ether China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Pakistan was granted observer status in 2005, reports our Pakistan correspondent. SCO has also been able to further expand its mandate to include economic and cultural cooperation.

Seoul official held for spying for N. Korea
Seoul : South Korea’s military on Wednesday sought an arrest warrant for a two-star army general accused of leaking the country’s war plan and other secrets to North Korea, a news report said.
The defence security command asked military prosecutors to arrest the major-general identified only as Kim for leaking classified information, Yonhap news agency said. A defence ministry spok-esman declined to comment on the report. —AFP

China: Angry patient sets fire to hospital
Beijing : Unhappy with his medical treatment, an angry patient on Wednesday set fire to a hospital in north China’s Shanxi province, causing severe burn injuries to three doctors.
Ji Ruilin, 34, who had undergone a treatment for shoulder dislocation a year ago, allegedly broke into the hospital director’s office with a bottle of petrol and a lighter and set fire to the cabin, causing an explosion, China Daily said.
Three doctors, including the president of the hospital, suffered extensive burns. —PTI

Pak: Hindu man shot dead, son kidnapped
Islamabad : A Hindu businessman was shot dead and his son kidnapped by unidentified men disguised as paramilitary personnel in the south-western Pakistani city of Quetta, media reports said on Wednesday.
The police said four armed men wearing uniforms of a paramilitary force intercepted Ramesh Kumar and his son Rajesh Kumar while they were passing through the Satellite Town area of Quetta in their car on Tuesday.
The men tried to kidnap both the Hindus. —PTI

Nato copter shot down in Afghan, 4 die
Kabul : A Nato helicopter was shot down in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing four troops, the alliance said.
The helicopter was brought down by hostile fire in volatile Helmand province, Nato said in a statement. It gave no other details. Taliban spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi clai-med responsibility on beh-alf of the insurgents, saying militants shot down the helicopter with two rockets.
Helmand provincial government spokesman Daoud Ahmadi said the attack occurred about midday in Sangin province. —AP
