Pak bus terminal blast kills 6
A bomb exploded at a bus terminal in northwest Pakistan on Monday, killing up to six people in the sixth bomb attack in as many days to strike the country, police said.
The bomb exploded in the small town of Jandol in the district of Lower Dir, 90 kilometres (56 miles) from the capital Islamabad. Pakistani troops fought a major offensive to expunge the Taliban from the area nearly two years ago.
"It was a bomb blast. We're investigating whether it was a planted device or a suicide attack. Six people have died," police official Islam Khan said.
The Lower Dir administration office said at least five people were killed.
"The bomb exploded at a bus terminal," said Qazi Jamil ur-Rehman, the regional deputy inspector general of police.
