The trial of ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, his sons and former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly will be held in Cairo, a top judiciary official has said.

The statement came after Egyptian Health Minister Amr Helmy declared that he is well enough to be brought to the Cairo from a hospital in the Sinai.

"Mubarak's health is in an appropriate condition to be tried in Cairo," Fox News quoted Helmy, as saying.

The statement made it clear that Mubarak will be brought back to Cairo for the first time since his ouster on February 11.

But an appeals judge must still formally announce the move and according to Egyptian law, the defendant must physically appear in court.

Reports of Mubarak's deteriorating health had fuelled speculation that his trial, which is due to start August 3, could be postponed or held in Sharm el-Sheikh, the Red Sea resort in the Sinai, where he has been undergoing treatment, while in custody since his ouster.

Deputy Justice Minister Mohammed said a 'final decision' has been made to hold Mubarak's trial at Cairo's Convention Center Hall.

The decision was made by representatives of the ruling military, security officials and the Industry and Trade minister, who oversees the convention center.

Mubarak is to be tried on charges of corruption and ordering the killing of protesters during the 18-day uprising against him. His sons, Gamal and Alaa are also charged with corruption and former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly charged with ordering the killings of protesters.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
