Now, snowboarding game at urinal for men to ‘aim’ correctly
A British company has created a video game for public lavatories, giving men something to ‘aim’ at.
Urinals will be equipped with a video screen in which ‘aiming’ left and right steers a snowboarder down a slope.
The purpose of this exercise is to reduce the mess on the floor for the cleaning staff to clean up.
The idea was inspired by Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport where little bluebottles are painted on the inside of men’s urinals.
The British company Captive Media went further with a clip-on LED screen at the top of the urinal, and a motion sensor aimed down into the ‘business’ area of the urinal, the Daily Mail reported.
A 12-inch LED unit above the urinals displays an advert before the game begins to make the units profitable to install.
There are three games to play, though, including a version of the classic brick-smashing arcade game Breakout, and a quiz.
The quiz, naturally is called Clever Dick.
The devices are waterproof, shockproof and have toughened glass but have so far been tried out only at one pub in Cambridge.
