New way to send secure messages
In what could eliminate the ri-sk of sensitive information falling into the wrong hands, scientists have discovered a new way to send secure messages which can only be read by someone at an agreed location.
An international team has developed a new “quantum communication” process that delivers unprecedented security — in fact, it en-sures that even if an encryption password falls into the wrong hands, a secure message can only be seen by a recipient at the right location.

10 killed in Pakistan violence
Islamabad : Ten people, including two security officials and eight militants, were killed on Friday in Pakistan during clashes, officials said, reports our Pakistan correspondent.
Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed while four others sustained injuries when militants attacked the convoy of FC at Zohran near Gwadar at Pak-Iran border, a security official said. In Orakzai Agency, meanwhile, eight militants were killed and ten others were injured during a clash between security forces and the militants.

Pak TV anchor Mir to face murder charge
Lahore : The family of slain former ISI official Khalid Khwaja, who was kidnapped and killed by militants in Pakistan’s tribal belt, has said it will get a murder case registered against popular television anchor Hamid Mir.
Mir has been at the centre of a controversy since a purported telephone conversation between him and a Taliban operative was posted on several websites. The Daily Times, which first reported on the tape, has said that information passed on by Mir to the Taliban “could have led to the execution” of Khwaja.

Afghan plane crash wreckage, bodies found
Kabul : Bodies and wreckage of an Afghan passenger plane that crashed with 43 people on board have been found on a mountainside with no immediate sign of any survivors, a government minister said on Friday.
The Pamir Airways plane was carrying three Britons, an American and dozens of Afghans when it came do-wn during bad weather on Monday during a scheduled flight from the northern province of Kunduz to Kabul. “Parts of the crashed plane are lying in front of me. There are a number of bodies scattered around here,” said acting transport and civil aviation minister .

Atlantis crew on 3rd spacewalk of ISS mission
Washington : US astronauts took their final spacewalk at the International Space Station on Friday to complete battery replacement work and various other tasks before heading home. Garrett Reisman and Michael Good set out at 6.27 am for the Atlantis crew’s third spacewalk in five days. Within 30 minutes, the pair had plugged a new ammonia jumper cable into the orbiting space station’s huge framework.
