Michelle Obama charges ‘10,00 dollars a photo’ at re-election fundraiser
US’ first lady Michelle Obama charged a whopping 10,000 dollars to have a photograph taken with her at a fundraising luncheon in Los Angeles.
According to the Daily Mail, Michelle traveled to LA to raise money for husband's re-election. With 500 attendees, she could have collected up to five million dollars just for smiling at the camera.
In the past Michelle has appeared reluctant to hit the fundraising trail, but now she followed the footsteps of past first ladies including Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton, who raised millions of dollars for their husbands during election campaigns.
Michelle attended several events on behalf of beleaguered Democrat candidates in last year's midterm elections, and has at least two more fundraising events scheduled in California this month.
Michelle is likely to attend a breakfast in Oakland where tickets range from 1,000 dollars to a huge 25,000 dollars. She would also attend another 1,000-dollar a ticket fundraiser in Bel Air.
