Man murders wife after 'she smashed his Star Wars toy collection'

A 'Star Wars' fan was jailed for life on Thursday after murdering his wife in an attack sparked by fury over a 'destroyed toy collection'.

Briton Rickie La-Touche, 30, told the court that he suffocated his Thai wife, Pornpilai Srisroy, 28, after she damaged his Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker memorabilia, the Daily Mirror reported.

La-Touche also claimed that his wife had smashed the collection because she wanted to 'make his life hell'.

'My wife is from Thailand and she keeps threatening to leave. We argued and she said she was going to make my life hell. She’s put me through it before. I couldn’t let that happen again. I then just remember getting up from on top of her. I think I’ve choked her,' he told the court.
