Man, 46, kills 3 judges, himself in China court
A man firing a small automatic weapon burst into a court office in central China on Tuesday, fatally shooting three judges and wounding three other people before killing himself, an official said.
The attacker, identified as a 46-year-old head of security at the Lingling district post office in Yongzhou in Hunan province, apparently told his co-worker he was taking the automatic weapon and two pistols for an inspection by city authorities then headed to the district people’s court, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
He fired the gun after breaking into the office on the fourth floor, killing the three judges and wounding three court staff, said a spokesman of the city’s Communist Party propaganda department who would give only his surname, Tang.
He said the judges were discussing a case unrelated to the man. Calls to the court rang unanswered. An official surnamed Zhou from the Yongzhou city public security bureau said the police had received a report of a shooting and were investigating. Zhou said she had no further details.

China bans Net cafes for exam
Beijing : Many provinces in China are forcing Internet cafes to shut down in order to allow students to prepare for their upcoming National College Entrance Examination.
The local governments of Linxian county in Shanxi province and Linchuan district in Jiangxi province have asked Internet cafes to “temporarily cease trading” till June 9 and warned that fines would be levied if they refuse to comply, China Daily reported citing a statement in people.com.cn.
This is the first time the regions are seeking to enforce the ban. “What we’re doing is reasonable, although it’s not legally allowed, as it does override the Internet manager’s administrative power,” Xiong Guanghui, an official with the Linchuan Culture Bureau, was quoted as saying.
“But we’re doing this for the sake of Linchuan’s education,” he said.
