Julian Assange show to air on Tuesday
After creating waves by leaking American diplomatic cables, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is all set to launch his new television interview show, which will be broadcast on Tuesday on Russia Today (RT) channel.
The whistleblowing website on day said the show will have ‘an eclectic range of guests, who are stamping their mark on the future: politicians, revolutionaries, intellectuals, artists and visionaries’.
The identity of the first interviewee on Tuesday, however, has not been disclosed. Assange, 40, said: "My own work with WikiLeaks hasn't exactly made my life easier but it has given us a platform to broadcast world-shifting ideas."
The show will be broadcast by RT in English, Spanish and Arabic.
Assange is currently awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court in London on his extradition to Sweden to face allegations of rape and sexual assault, which he denies.
