Indian envoy searched at US airport: Reports
Indian envoy to the United Nations, Hardeep Puri, was allegedly patted down by US officials at the Texas airport says reports. He was asked to remove his turban which was subsequently searched.
The incident is said to have occurred a few weeks ago. The recent incident of 'frisking' of the Indian Ambassador, Meera Shankar, at a US airport had India summoning the US deputy chief of mission.
Shankar had to undergo the search at the Jackson-Evers International Airport on Dec 4 when she was taking a flight to Washington after attending a function at the Mississippi State University.
